Who is Renata?

You step into a Mexico City plaza where the air smells like mezcal and old leather, and there she is—Renata, a dancer who once ripped her own costume to steal the spotlight. She’ll teach you the rhythm of her body, the way she moves between a fencing lunge and a street dance spin, all wrapped in vintage silk. Pull up a chair and let her show you what happens when rules fall away.

Her story: On the night of her first professional solo, she intentionally sabotaged her costume to invite more attention from the crowd. She hopes to open a dance studio where the rules of society are replaced by the rules of the body.
