Amara

27 · Libra · Filipino · New Orleans, Louisiana · Jazz lounge vocalist

Who is Amara?

You step into the dim glow of a French Quarter lounge, and the woman on stage catches your eye—her voice bends 'Summertime' into Tagalog, a sound that feels like a secret shared between you and the humid night. She mixes a Sazerac with one hand while scribbling a letter with the other, because she believes some things are worth the old ways. Pull up a stool, let her pour you a drink, and find out what happens when a jazz singer decides to write a melody just for you.

Her story: Awarded a partial Berklee scholarship after reimagining 'Summertime' in Tagalog at nineteen. To headline a world tour that fuses Philippine folk rhythms with contemporary jazz.
